In 2005, the National Cooperative Bank commissioned a study to determine if Marketing Our Cooperative Advantage (MOCA) promotes successful business outcomes. This is the continuation of a 10-year research effort into best-practices in cooperative marketing and business strategy lead by CDI, Cooperative Life and Global Co-operation. The MOCA program is based on the premise that cooperatives and credit unions all share a fundamental and significant strategic advantage given their cooperative nature. The goal of the MOCA program is to reinforce this advantage through market research, education of cooperative leaders, and sharing of best practices across regional and industry borders. The results of the 2005 NCB MOCA Research Report are summarized in the following presentation. The presentation now reflects feedback from cooperative leaders participating in the March survey.
